Well, it took more than a day. Scouting the next business area in the city, that is. Melissa realized that it’s fun, but there’s that underlying worry. Would she be able to get a job or not? She’s not exactly pressured at this point, but she could sympathize with the others she saw. Life was hard, apparently. A few days later, she finally got a call, and she was asked to come in for an interview. It’s fairly easy to see that there’s something different about her. She had this air of confidence that didn’t stem from . . . actual confidence in her skills or knowledge. Her confidence stemmed from the fact that she could afford to fail interviews. From a professional standpoint, she carried herself well. She answered straightforwardly. She didn’t stammer. Her replies seemed very honest.
