After dinner, Luke went to his study to finish some correspondence. Nia went to her little corner and started reading one of the books he gave her. More than an hour later, Luke was watching her seriously studying. He surveyed her setup and concluded it’s not an eye sore. He noticed the lack of food on her table, though. People who study a lot usually eat snacks. He went down to get some from the kitchen. The drawers were stacked with food he doesn’t usually eat. They’re mostly for the staff. He pulled a small tray and filled it with a juice box and an array of potato chips and pretzel.
Nia was startled when he put them on her table.
