“Tell me.” Nia pulled back and pressed the question.
Troy looked away and contemplated. He’s still bothered and he feels he would snap at her if he talks now.
“I don’t want to talk right now.” He responded before pulling her down on the couch.
“Then, do you want me to go?” She asked after a few minutes of silence.
“Stay. I just want to hold you like this.” Holding her in his arms makes him feel assured that she’s with him.
“Have you eaten? I’m hungry.”
He was upset these last few days that he hasn’t been very particular about his meals.
“I haven’t prepared anything.” He grimaced. He bought a sandwich on the way home earlier, not knowing she would come today. He hasn’t considered that it’s Monday.
“You weren’t reading my messages, were you?”
