Akala ko ay nakabalik na sa tulog si Chloe pero muli s’yang nagsalita.
“What did you say?”
“Ang sabi ko, bakit tuwing may kausap ka at dumarating ako– biglang tumatahimik. Parang noong nasa restaurant tayo. You were talking to Charlie when I came in. Why did you and Charlie stopped talking when I entered the room?”
The only consolation I have right now is she’s not facing me.
“We were planning about a vacation for all of us.”
Biglang pumihit paharap sa akin si Chloe. “Vacation?”
“Yes. Hindi pa naman sa ngayon. Now that Caleb and I are okay, gusto ko sanang may yearly reunion tayo. Somewhere that’s not in New York or California. S’yempre kapapanganak lang ni Kris, she needs time to recuperate.”
