Nikki was in her class for half an hour while copying what their professor was writing in Development Writing. There were also a few of her block mates in that room. Someone was chatting in secret, someone was resting their head in their arm chair, someone was waiting for the class to finish and there was someone looking out of the window. Nikki just writes that she not feel bored in the class.
As she looked up at the chalkboard to see what she was about to write, she saw that Dominic was sitting at their teacher's desk and waved to her. She was startled and her heart sank so that she could not catch the young man. She also looked her blockers that if they noticed Dominic but no one was looking in front.
She glanced at Dominic again and said she was using some of her teacher's belongings. She immediately stood up, her chair still ringing as she retreated, standing at the table, waking up her other classmates, losing Dominic immediately and confronting their prof. She feel nervous, “what’s the problem Ms. Douglas?” The professor scolded her.
“It’s nothing, I just didn’t see the writing on the board clearly that’s why I stood up.” She sit down again and she’s praying the class will finish now. When the class was done, she immediately went out from the room and to find the young man. She knows that Dominic is somewhere to be find and she wanted to scold the young man.
She didn’t see Dominic but Honey that’s now facing her and approaching, “my magazines, where are they?” Honey asked.
“Later, I will give it back to you later.”
Nikki will go but Honey stop her, “are you hiding something?” Nikki feel something in her throat.
She faced again Honey and looking her so seriously, “what do you mean by that?”
“Nothing,” Honey’s expression came to normal and smile again to Nikki, “I just want to say that you can join to our club and you don’t need to do some task just to join our club.”
“Really?”
“You’re in, we will visit you in your dorm room later.”
Nikki couldn’t speak to say yes about the visit when Honey left her and she just scratch her head.
Because Nicki's next class is on noon. She goes straight to the canteen to buy some food for Dominic and she returns to her room. She watched the young man read her notebook where her bucket list was written. She immediately pulled her notebook out to the young man and to Dominic's surprise when Nicki presence it floated in the air. Dominic glued to the ceiling like an spider man, “you scared me,” while acting surprised and dramatically touched his chest.
“I know now why your family in prison you in the mirror because you’re hands are naughty.”
“Hey, that’s not like that. I just saw that her things is scattered in her table and I just fixed it.”
“Who is the owner of this room?”
“From mi lady Nikki.”
“Who is Nikki?”
“You.”
“Exactly, you knew it, all of this things are mine and you are not allowed to touch anything here.”
Dominic down from the ceiling and now standing in front of Nikki, “look like a diary?”
“Yeah, just like that and diary should not read others. I list down all things I want to do in my notebook so I couldn’t forget. For example, bucket list, list of things I want to do while I’m here in college.”
The young man think about Nikki’s statement, “I don’t have like that and I don’t need that. Everything I want and to do I can make it, as I remembered there’s nothing I can’t do.”
“Yes, of course you have magic and you’re a prince.”
“Indeed but by the way can I have a piece of paper and borrow your pen. I will write something.”
Nikki confused for a second before she gave the pen and paper to Dominic. “Faster there so we can eat now and we need to talk something.”
When Dominic done writing something like a list too he approached Nikki so they can eat. He amazed to the food called chicken adobo. “Later someone will visit me here so you need to hide yourself again.”
Dominic look Nikki.
Nikki laughed at Dominic when she saw some stain of rice to young man’s face.
“What?”
“Just follow my instruction and everything will be okay maybe tomorrow we will go to the mall because I don’t have class.”
Dominic eyes widened, “promise?”
“Yes, I said it remember just eat faster.”
It was not until the afternoon that Dominic disappeared. A few knocked on the door of Nicki's room and as she opened it she saw the five familiar faces. There are two boys and three girls along with Honey. She let enters them and immediately places them in her place.
“Guys this is Nikki the girl I’m telling you.”
Nikki waved to the four friends of Honey. “Nikki this is Jamie,” Honey pointed to the girl with long and silent. “This is Geraldine,” the girl smiling at her, “this is Tommy,” the young man who are taller to all of them, “at si Malraux,” pointing to the last one, the young man with long hair.
Surprisingly, they followed Geraldine's gazed who had been searching in the room. It was just Nicki feeling that Dominic was in the room and not just showing up. “I feel something strange in this room,” she said.
All of them looked Nikki, “what? I don’t know.”
“Stop that Geraldine, you’re scaring her.” Honey said to her friends.
Nicki is so grateful and the weird girl with her has stopped. but Geraldine couldn't help but notice that Nicki was watching her. They just talked about magic and cards how to use it. Until then, Geraldine's peripheral vision doesn't disappear. It was as if Nicki was just relaxing, she didn't know why.
