I looked at Master Harris and there is this hint of agitation all over his face. He tried giving me a warm smile but what I got was a smile filled with nervousness. His face is looks a little funny—he is smiling widely, teeth even showing, but his smile did not reach his eyes. Seeing him getting all dithery somehow helped me have the courage to respond to him. I took a deep breath to calm myself and be able to arrange my thoughts clearly. I took a few seconds to think and rehearse my response in my mind. “Master…” I called him out when I am finally ready. He looked at me, still smiling. He raised both of his brow at me and partly opened his mouth—maybe his way of asking me why. “I…” I bit my lower lip before taking in a huge amount of air to inflate my lungs. Then slowly, I exhaled.
