“What do you mean?” I asked Rose before looking around to spot any suspicious presence, but saw nothing. “I saw nothing.”
“They’re here, Lady Lara. Listen...” she replied, hushing me. “Can you hear the sound of a horn?” she added, and that’s when I noticed a distant echoing sound. “That’s their signal—that’s they’re call for battle,” she said, pointing at the hunters.
I followed her hand and saw the hunters preparing for something. Their focus is no longer poured on the horned wolf but also to their environment. They suddenly started forming small groups and covered each other’s blind spot.
“Rose, I don’t think it’s a good idea to stay here any longer,” I told her, gulping. My heart started to race as I realize how serious the situation is. “We need to go back now
