I stayed by the vessel's side, not because I am guilty of what happened to her, but—well, you can say I am guilty, but the main reason is that I want to be the first thing she will see as soon as she opens her eyes. I want her to see a beautiful, drop-dead gorgeous human being right after she regains consciousness.
"Lady Lara, we're done with the preparations," I heard Rose say as soon as she enters the room. "What shall we do next?"
