Chapter 21

Aubrey's POV:

The woman flew and hit the tree. I saw a fast moving shadow suddenly going for the guy. I tried to lay awake but I was too tired. it was like my body is shutting itself down. All I heard was shouting, grunting and it was like objects were being thrown.

''Aubrey!'' I heard a familiar voice.

I tried to open my eyes. I could feel my head being lifted and laid in something soft and warm.

''Aubrey, stay with me!'' I heard the voice again. My blurry eyes adjusted and I saw who it was.

''Cass'' I managed to whisper.

''We will take care of you, just try to hold on for a second.'' She said as she was looking at me.

Why is she here? Who is she with? Questions filled my mind. I looked to my side and I saw the mans body was lifted high by this one guy and I was shocked with what happened next. He struck his hand to this mans chest and pulled out something... It was moving... A heart?

''Wane...'' I uttered as I saw the face of the man who killed my kidnappers. It was the only thing I could say before I was slowly succumbed to darkness.

Cassandra's POV:

''Brother, calm down! We will find her!'' I tried to calm My brother Wane as he was throwing and rampaging inside the condo. We can't find Aubrey. Those rogue vampires went under our noses! I could feel the urge of killing anyone in my path and line of sight but I tried to calm myself in order to calm my brother and think logically. We were both busy locating the rogue vampires territory here in the mundane world. I thought I had a good lead so I called my brother to get some help and he came. He wanted to finish everything quickly. We were too occupied with the fight. When we got there only a few of those disgusting creatures showed up and put up a fight. But it was a decoy to get to Aubrey. They knew my brother will lose it if she was taken. We were fooled. I cannot believe we fell on their trap. We assigned our butler to keep an eye out to Aubrey but he was cornered. A lot of them showed up and Aubrey was taken.

''I will kill every rogue vampire who took Aubrey!'' he shouted. his roaring anger filled the whole room.

''Brother, just calm down!'' I said as I stopped him frrom ruining more of my furnitures. We were waiting for Anthony, our tracker. he is the best in our world.

The wind blew the curtains of the open window. I could feel something bad is going to happen. I dont feel so good about this night.

''Are you seriously telling me to calm the F* down?!'' he shouted, his fangs slowly coming out. I kept quiet. I know how you feel brother. I may have been a bad sister frrom the start but I was genuine to me and Aubrey's friendship. I really like her. Honest and innocent about the world.

In a while, a shadow appeared on the balcony window. It was Anthony. He kneeled and spoke. ''Your Highness, I tracked her scent.''

Wane went to him and pulled him up ''Where is she?!'' He angrily spoke.

''They took her south frrom here. Into the woods.'' Anthony Answered. and in a flash, Wane was gone. The curtain moved as he jumped out the window.

''Brother!'' I shgouted at him but he was no longer near the vicinity.

''Show me!'' I told Anthony and we both jumped out of the window and headed south, to the deep forest.

We were moving so fast yet we still cannot find my brother. He is heading towards the enemy in a cloudy mind. But I know he can handle and protect himself. The only thing I am concerned about is him not being able to control himself because of his emotions and that might put Aubrey in more danger!

I moved fast until I can smell blood in the air. It was her scent! She is bleeding?!

I tried to go faster more than my usual speed. this is not good. I am sure my brother already smelled her blood frrom miles away. We were rushing down the forest when I felt another presence with us.

'' We are not alone,'' I spoke. And we are outnumbered. I looked at anthony's eyes and spoke to him through telepathy.

'Handle this, I will find my brother'

I looked at him and saw him nod. He immediately stopped on his tracks and covered for me. One of the giftsd of being a vampire born with royal blood is that you are gifted with poiwers... aside from being strong and immortal.

Anthony can take care of those lower life forms. HE is also a great fighter.

I rushed and heard a commotion on the far south. It must be Aubrey.

''Run!'' I heard my brother screamed and in a distance I saw Aubrey running out the cabin. I rushed to her direction when I was stopped by a bunch of rogue vampires. How I hate those red, bloodshot eyes! I was forced to stop on my tracks. I need to hurry. i saw my brother pre-occupied at the moment. he was somehow cornered. There really are a great number of these bloodsucking creatures here in the mundane world! They are throwing off the balance of the universe by just being here. This war just has to stop or we will all be in great danger when the 'others' come.

The one on my right swarmed at me like bees. One tried to hit me on my back but I managed to dodge the last minute. they all looked at each other and came at me together and with full force. I evaded their every kick and pun ches. i flipped one girl on my right when she tried to grab my arm to immobilize me and one on my other leg. I shooked them off as I know I am stronger than them and more fast. One ran towards me like and i***t and I jumped on his shouolders and reached my hand on his chest and pulled out his heart. His comrades took a step back as I grinned at them.

''You guys are a waste of time,'' I said and smirked. they looked at each other and their faces were pissed and more ferocious. But I was going to win. I am great in combat. I jumped and spinned my way to the next victiom and grabbed her heart like it was nothing. She fell to the ground lifeless like her other friend. They went to get me again together. Those tactics will never work thrice. i jumped on the tree and continued to encircle them on top. I was fast. They looked like they can barely keep up. When I found the right opening I jumped on one of them and pulled its head off and threw it away near his 2 comrades. 2 left. I tried to kick on of them when he caught my leg, but it did not stop me. I used that to hoist myself way up and made a turn and kicked with my right leg. he eventually let go of me and I pulled myself up to his shoulders and twisted his head as he tried to fight back. Eventually I pulled his head apart from his body.

''This is a lame fight.'' I uttered as I went down his body and threw the head on the ground as I stepped on it. His skull broke into two.

''I will kill you!'' the last woman standing said.

''Please do give it a try,'' I mocked her. Her fangs began to show and her nails grew longer, ready to attack me withh all her might. I saw a tree branch on the ground and I stepped on it and spinned on the air as I grabbed it. I held it with my right hand and smiled at her.

''Come at me,'' I said. She rushed like a wild creature she is. She swung her hands in the air as she tried to scratch me. I managed to dodger the last minujte. Wow she is quicker than the others. Now this is a proper fight. I wanted to keep this on for longer but I need to find Aubrey.

She lauched at me head straight and I evaded her and went down and kicked her leg. She fell on her back and I immediately pluched the tree branch on her heart as she fell, it was straight to the heart. I dusted my hands and wiped blood that got stuck to my shirt. Damn, I just bought this new clothes! These are limited edition!

I hurriedly rand and tracked Aubrey's scent. She didnt get too far. I was running when I saw my brother, he was at my back trying to catch up.

'up ahead' He then went ahead when I spoke to him telepathetically. He was way faster than me and he got ther, just barely in time. He went to the girl pinning and chocking Aubrey and threw her tot he other side. I rushed to Aubrey as my brother took care of the other vampire.

SHe looked so worn out and beaten up! I saw my brothers look on his face. He was not himself. He looked so mad and helpless as she rushed to Aubreys side with me.

''What are we going to do?'' I asked him.

He knelt down and cupped Aubrey's face. It was filled with wounds and bruises. He slowly grabbed her body and carried her bridal style.

''Something we should've done from the beginning.''
