Chapter 13.1 - Easter Egg (2)

[Note: This Easter Egg happened before their wedding.]

Vallen is looking outside of the window. Pinapanood niya si Lesley mamitas ng mga bulaklak sa garden.

He heard knocks from the door. He's sure it was Ivan so he let him in.

"Young Master." Bati sa kaniya ni Ivan. Mayamaya lamang ay nasa gilid na niya ito. "Here's the report of the investigation on Lady Lesley's past."

May iniabot si Ivan kay Vallen na envelope. Sa envelope na iyon nakapaloob ang mga impormasyon tungkol kay Lesley.

Kinuha ito ni Vallen. Pero bago niya buksan, tumingin muna siya kay Ivan. "This was supposed to be given to me much earlier than today," aniya.

Ivan froze. Noong araw* na inutos ni Ivan iyon sa kaniya, hindi niya ito agad nagawa kasi isang oras lamang ang nakalaan sa kaniya.

Hindi rin naging madali ang pagkalap niya ng impormasyon tungkol kay Lesley.

"I—"

"I will let it slide." Hindi pa nakakapagsalita si Ivan ay inunahan na siya ni Vallen.

"Thank you, Young Master!" Masaya niyang sabi. Akala niya ay makakatanggap sjya ng parusa. Handa na siyang tanggapin ang kahit ano ngunit himala na hindi nagbigay si Vallen sa kaniya.

Binuksan ni Vallen ang envelope at binasa ang mga nakapaloob dito.

It took him a while to finish reading all the information regarding Lesley and her past. Pagkatapos niyang magbasa, napatingin siyang muli kay Lesley na ngayon ay tapos nang mamitas ng bulaklak.

"No wonder she acts thay way," Vallen murmured under his breath. Now he understands what she's coming from.

"Ivan."

"Yes, Young Master," sagot ni Ivan.

"Give Lesley information about me," sabi ni Vallen.

"Pardon, Young Master?" Tila naguluhan si Ivan sa sinabi ni Vallen.

"Don't make me repeat myself," ani Vallen. He wants Ivan to give Lesley a piece of his information just because they get all the information about her.

It's all about fairness... for Lesley.

"Go and give her information about me. Do it now." Utos ni Ivan.

"R-Right away, Young Master!" Sagot ni Ivan.

Pero may naalala si Vallen kaya hindi niya muna pinaalis si Ivan.

"Who are the guests she plans to invite in our wedding?" Ivan asked.

"Only two families, Young Master. Lambrente and Ramirez family— her friend's family," sagot ni Ivan.

"I see. You can go now," sabi niya. Yumukod lamang si Ivan at nagpaalam saka tuluyang nilisan ang silid.

Nang makaalis si Ivan, tinago niya ang envelope sa isa sa mga drawers niya. Tumingin ulit siya sa labas upang tingnan kung nandoon pa si Lesley ngunit wala na ito.

Hindi niya alam kung ano ang iisipin o kung ano ang mararamdaman. It is not hard to try putting yourself to other's situation, but it is hard to know what they felt while experiencing that certain situation.

Although he now has information about her, what he can only give her is security and assurance. Security for if ever her family might do any harm to her and assurance that she has his side no matter what.

After all, she's going to be his wife
