JAZMIN could only stare at the pregnancy test result in her hand. She covered her mouth with her hand. She had mixed emotions within her.
"Congratulations, Miss. You're two weeks pregnant now."
When Jazmin heard about it, her mind went blank. She wanted to think it wasn't real and was just a dream, but it wasn't. It was real. She will become a mother now. A single mother. Because of her stupidity, the mistake of that night had now a fruit.
“Miss Ferrer, you look young," the doctor commented and asked, "Are you married?” the doctor asked.
Jazmin shakes her head. “No, doc. I’m single.”
“Then do your parents know about your pregnancy?”
Jazmin shakes her head again. Her parents were no longer in this world. And she was just living alone in the old house that her parents left for her before they died.
“Miss Ferrer, do you want to abort it? After all, you were young and you were still a student. Do you think you can afford to raise your baby?” the doctor asked. She was concerned, but her voice was laced with judgment for the young girl.
Jazmin smiled and left the doctor’s office without saying a word.
Abort…
When she heard the word ‘abort’, all she could think was to protect her baby from those people who would harm him. Jazmin touches her belly while she’s walking in the hallway of the hospital.
“Baby, don’t worry, though I don’t know who your father was, and I don’t know if I will meet him again. I will protect you. I will let you see the beauty of this world.”
EZEQUIEL was at the edge of the cliff and staring at the moon while thinking of his mate. Below the cliff was their camp. Hundreds of camps were built. All tribes in the Celestial, whether small or big tribes, united to fight against the hunters.
Jazmin, how are you? Are you doing well?
If not because of this upcoming war, he would still be in the Human Race and looking for his mate.
“Alpha King.” Dominick bowed to greet the Alpha King.
Dominick Everson, the Alpha of the Moon Shine Tribe of the Eastern Region.
Ezequiel nodded his head.
“Alpha King, is there something bothering you?” Dominick asked.
Ezequiel looked at Dominick. “Dominick, I have met my mate.”
Dominick’s eyes widened. “That’s great, Alpha King.”
“She’s a human,” Ezequiel said, stopping Dominick from being happy.
Right, it was a rule that supernatural beings are not allowed to have contact with humans. They should not have an affair with humans. But it was unexpected that the Alpha King from the Eastern Region of the Celestial Continent was mated to a human. “Then what’s your plan, Alpha King?”
“I plan to return to the Human Race after the war to look for her. I want to bring her here.”
“Alpha King, you are going to be punished by the Elders,” said Dominick with worry.
After all, the Elders of the werewolf race are ruthless. They all abided by the laws, and they didn’t easily let off anyone who wouldn’t abide by the rules of the werewolf race.
Ezequiel smiled as he faced the Alpha of Moon Shine Pack. The Eastern Continent had four Alphas under his rule, and he treated them like his younger siblings. And they saw him as their big brother. But for him, Dominick was the closest to him among the four Alphas.
“Dominick, tell me, if I accept the punishment of the Elders, will I survive?” he asked.
Dominick didn’t know how to answer. From the beginning, he had never heard of anyone who survived the punishment set by the elders of the werewolf race.
“Honestly, I don’t know, Alpha King.”
Ezequiel smiled and stared at the moon again.
“Alpha King, whatever will happen in the future, on behalf of my Moon Shine Pack, you have our support.”
Ezequiel nodded. “Thank you, Dominick.”
Dominick bowed his head and left.
Meanwhile, Dimitri heard everything. But supernatural beings are not allowed to have affairs with humans. Ezequiel will have a hard time in the future.
“Are you not going to show yourself, Dimitri? Eavesdropping is not good for your health,” Ezequiel said as he closed his eyes.
Dimitri cleared his throat and walked towards Ezequiel. “What are you doing here?” he asked. “Moon bathing.”
“Thank you for the nice description, Your Majesty,” Ezequiel said in a sarcastic voice.
Dimitri chuckled. “Do you want me to bend the rules?”
Ezequiel opened his eyes. “No need. Though you are the ruler of the Celestial Continent now, you have no full control of the Werewolf Race. The elders in the Eastern Region were not easy to talk to. Moreover, every tribe has its own norms, culture, traditions, and rules.”
Dimitri sighed. “Then don’t die in the process.”
The corner of Ezequiel’s lips curled up. “Don’t worry, I won’t die.”
“If you need help in the future, just tell me.”
Ezequiel snorted. “Dimitri, I’m afraid that after the war, you will disappear again.”
“Then you’ll be in charge again.”
Ezequiel looked at Dimitri flatly. “How about I just kill you?”
Dimitri chuckled. But then he stilled when he felt a presence approach them. “Someone was here.”
Ezequiel sighed. “I’ll talk to him.”
“Alright. I’ll be in my tent.”
Nodding, Ezequiel was still staring at the moon. After Dimitri left, he said, “show yourself, Kiel.”
From the shadows, a man younger than Ezequiel appeared. “Brother.”
Ezequiel withdrew his gaze from the moon and looked at his brother. “What are you doing here?”
Ezekiel, also known as ‘Kiel’, smiled innocently. “I want to help you, Brother.”
“Kiel, you’re…” Ezequiel was about to say that his younger brother was still young, but he stopped himself. He just realized that his brother was no longer a kid. He promised his parents that he would take care of Ezekiel and wouldn’t let him get hurt. But Ezekiel has his own mind and does what he wants.
“Brother, don’t say I’m still a kid. I’m already grown up. I came back this time to help you fight against those hunters. Don’t tell me to go back,” said Ezekiel.
Ezequiel sighed. His brother had already grown up. “Don’t get killed and don’t add to my trouble,” he said, as he was worried about his younger brother.
Ezekiel’s face lit up. He eagerly nodded his head. “I won’t cause you any trouble, Brother.”
Ezequiel smiled and messed his brother’s hair. “Let’s go back to my tent.”
“Alpha King,” a demon came and greeted the King of werewolves.
“What’s the matter?” Ezequiel asked in a formal voice, gone the doting tone of a brother.
“Alpha King, my Master wants you in the main tent.”
“Alright. It’s time for the meeting,” Ezequiel said and looked at Ezekiel. “Go to my tent and get some rest. I’ll be in the main tent for the meeting.”
“Can I come, brother?”
When Ezequiel didn’t speak, Ezekiel raised his hand and showed his three fingers. “I swear, I won’t cause trouble, brother.”
“If you cause trouble, I will let Dominick discipline you.”
Ezekiel grimaced. “That stinky Alpha. He made me run for a hundred laps the other day. My legs were sore for days because of it,” he complained.
Ezequiel only grinned and jumped off the cliff. He landed perfectly on his feet.
Ezekiel followed his brother.
When Ezequiel arrived at the main tent, the ruler of the three regions was already there. “What’s the matter?” he asked.
“There was a change in plan,” said Dimitri. He pointed at the map in front of them. “The hunters are already preparing for the battle tomorrow. But I think we shouldn’t wait until the sun rises tomorrow.”
“What do you mean?” Theo asked.
Dimitri sighed. “Our original plan was to avoid heavy casualties and not cause too many lives.”
“So, before the sun rises, we will attack them in surprise,” Dimitri said.
The three rulers agreed.
Dimitri suddenly coughed.
“Are you okay?” Aela asked Dimitri.
Dimitri shakes his head. “I’m fine.”
But Ezequiel didn’t believe it. He was about to take Dimitri’s pulse, but Dimitri pulled his hand away.
“I’m fine, Ezequiel.”
Ezequiel stared at the map. “Just don’t get killed tomorrow, otherwise I will burn you and throw your ashes at the sea.”
Dimitri smiled. “Thank you.”
Theo and Aela couldn’t control their laughter.
Ezequiel snorted and looked at Ezekiel. “I’ll ask Soren to protect you tomorrow.”
Ezekiel sighed. “Brother, don’t worry too much about me. I can fight.”
“Looks like Dominick trained you hard.”
Ezekiel grimaced. “Don’t mention him. He was the stingiest master I have ever met,” he said, frowning.
Dimitri chuckled. “If I hadn’t disappeared one hundred years ago, I would be your Master. But Alpha Dominick was also a good Master for you. You can learn a lot from him.”
“He was nice but stingy,” said Ezekiel, rolling his eyes. “I’m going to rest.”
Ezequiel could only shake his head, watching his brother leave the tent.
“You’re worried about your brother?” Dimitri asked.
“Dimitri, you asked the obvious question,” said Theo. “I don’t have a sibling, but I will worry too if he will participate in the situation we are in right now.”
“Don’t worry too much about your brother. He was strong enough to protect himself,” said Aella. “But your little brother reminds me of someone.”
“Who?” Theo asked.
“My son,” Aella answered, shocking the three kings.
“You have a son?” Theo asked in surprise.
Aella nodded. “But he was just a baby when I left him in the Northern Region. His father brought him to the Human Race after I left to inherit the throne after my sister died,” she said in a sad voice. “I miss my son.”
“No wonder you specially treated Ezekiel,” said Theo. It turns out that the Queen of Witches has a story like this.
Aella just smiled. “The plan is not to get killed in a war tomorrow.”
Ezequiel sighed and nodded his head. After he left the main tent, he looked for Soren.
“Alpha King.” Soren bowed.
“Soren, if something happens to me in the war tomorrow, protect our pack and my brother.” Then he extended his hand. Two scrolls appeared in his hand. “This was my decree for the Silver Shadow Pack and the Eastern Region.”
Soren took the two scrolls.
"And this scroll," another scroll appeared in Ezequiel's hand. "If something happens to me, give it to the Vampire King."
"Yes, Alpha King." Soren took the scroll.
Ezequiel put his hands behind his back and looked at the map in front of him. He can’t predict what will happen tomorrow, but it will be bloody.
Jazmin, I’m sorry. I will come to you after this war.
