Before Forever

***POV SPEAKING WILL BE INDICATED IN BOLD**** Kalila’s POV I’m coming out of the school theatre after today’s rehearsal then I begin to hear noises from the pathway across the theatre block and I hurry away to see what is going on. On reaching there, I see that a mammoth crowd comprising of students are gathered in a circular form and seem to be enjoying a wild show so I pushed my way in between the cheering students to have a better gaze. It is Jason the popular basketballer and leader of the Amazing 7 dance school crew doing what he knows how to do best. Dancing you think huh? My bad…I also think same but Jason the arrogant and dumb bully wouldn’t do that often. He instead prefers to flex his muscles about the whole school in search of his prey who happens to be unfortunately today, the son of the music teacher Bryan ‘’That’s enough Jason!’’ I blurted, walking in on them just before he could land another punch on the poor Bryan under his weight. “If you say so my lady” Jason says and stands up from him “Thank your stars Captain save a soul came in time to save your damn ass. The next time you come in my way, I’ll make sure I break your bones and your poor old mother would do nothing about it” “Are you alright?” “Yeah...Thank you” By the time I was done helping him off his feet I noticed the whole crowd has dispersed including the bully so I also walked away after handing him to the school authorities. I guess you might be wondering how I got to pull that off. Easy peasy! Well that is what you get when the handsome, arrogant bully “Jason” wants you at all cost. Yeah, he is hot with a whole lot of crushes and admirers but let’s not forget one thing, he is still a “bully” and so an idiot at that. I don’t do idiots, more so a spoilt brat who knows nothing else but flaunt his father’s wealth and brag about being the son of the highest shareholder in ‘HILTON COLLEGE’ our school. I guess now you know why he can bully anyone and get away with it right? BRYAN’S POV I went to get some snacks from the cafeteria earlier on then bumped into Jason on my way out ruining his sweatshirt with my soda. I tried to apologize and he instead got infuriated grabbing me by my collar. I didn’t realize the situation will get that intense until I saw myself on the floor with him on top of me landing punches on my face. I don’t what would have happened next if Kalila didn’t come out to save me from that monster. “Give me your hands Bryan” “Does it hurt Miss Silvia?” I stretch out my hands while Miss Silvia the school matron grabs it gently and begin to dab at it with a wool soaked in some substance reeking of alcohol without giving me a reply. “Arrgh…Careful” “You can actually do better than that you know” “Well I’m trying” I muttered placing my bandaged hands on the bedside and lay back after she was done dressing it to get some sleep. The bell goes and I jump out of bed heading straight to the class to get my backpack and perhaps thank Kalila for saving me earlier today leaving Miss Silvia yelling at me to lie back in awe. I get to the class and meets her packing her things to leave for home so I walk up to her “Hey” “Hi Bryan” She turns slowly and smiles “Umm…I can see you’re getting ready for home” I tap on the tabletop in front of me hoping I said the right words “Yeah. What about you?” “I’m also about leaving too. I just came to get my things” “Ok. How is your health now?” “I feel better.” “I actually came to say thank you for saving me earlier today without your help today, I’m pretty sure things would’ve gone really worse” “Don’t flatter me please Bryan. I didn’t do any of that” She blushed placing the books in her hands into the backpack and I let out a sly smile “I dare flatter you not. I’m serious” “Fine. You’re welcome.” Now holding her backpack in her hands, she bid me goodbye and exits the class. Not so a bad day afterall. I mean today, I got to officially talk to the billionaire’s daughter and richest kid in the whole school, Kalila. Who would’ve thought that a day like this will come? All thanks to Jason but I still hate him low key. Now in front of the school basement, I sight Jason getting into his SUV but I look away and hurry out of the school gate to meet my best friend “Amy” Amy and I have been best of friends since childhood. We both went to the same junior high school and have been together ever since. Well not really, Amy came in here before me because they are quite rich so they could afford the tuitions but I knew we couldn’t so I had to school somewhere else until mother was employed in here and my tuition was waivered before I could transfer. “Buddy where have you been?” “I died a day ago but you wouldn’t come to my funeral you asshole!” “You die everyday now huh?” Amy teased giving me a light punch and I groaned “Man I’m in pains!” “Oops…who did this to you bro?” Amy turns giving me a cursory look after sighting the bandaged hands and head “Relax Amy, it’s nothing serious” “It is. Now tell me what happened” He pulls me towards the pavement by the gate and makes me sit down. Amy can be hotheaded and very annoying atimes and today he chose not to be something else but annoying. Well I had no choice but to narrate everything to him. “And you didn’t tell me all of this on time?” Amy stands up obviously enraged and begin to pace up and down after I told him about what transpired between Jason and I. “Calm down bro. Trust me I’m good” I smile then place my hands on his shoulders to pacify him. “But look at you. You’re hurting” “I know but I’ll be alright” “That’s how you always want it. Peace and peace all the time but it won’t work this time. I’ll make sure I teach that fool a lesson” It may seem to be an empty threat to you but for someone like me who have known him like I do the back of my palm, he isn’t kidding. Amy is very vile and revengeful. He doesn’t back down and will go any length to get even when he gets offended unlike me a sharp contrast but the only akin thing we share is solace. “Let’s just go home Amy” I pulled him away and we left though with Amy still enraged.
