*Unknown POV: "I know it hurts, but it is the only way to protect her" I say to my mate as I wipe away our daughter's memory of her life with us. I hear my wife sobbing. "She is only 5 years old, how is she meant to survive?" my wife sobs, the guilt is eating me alive, but this is the best option we have. "We are near a pack. They will take her in and look after her," I say, even though I wish it would be myself and my mate looking after her, but we have too many enemies that would use her as a weapon. With her, they could take over the whole wolf kingdom. I cannot let that happen. "You know we have no choice, our jobs are too important and if anyone finds her, they will use her for their own gain." I said while looking down at my daughter, it breaks my heart to do this, but it's for the best. With one last kiss on my daughter's forehead, I stood up and pulled my wife with me. We could not say any words, all that was heard was the shallow breaths from myself and the sobs from my mate, but soon we heard footsteps and I took one last look at my daughter before I teleported my mate and myself out of there, 'be safe my sweetheart', I thought as I left her there to be found. Rose's POV: "You stupid b***h" screams the she-wolf that slaps me across my face. I wish I knew what I did, but it does not really matter what I have done. Most of the time, I haven't done anything, but they will still find a reason to hit me. Oh, I am so sorry where are my manners. My name is Rose. Thats it just Rose. There's no last name. I know weird, right but no one know who my parents are so I don't have a last night. Anyway, I am 17 years old and, of course I am a wolf, I am an omega of the Blood Moon Pack, the lowest rank for a wolf. I have been here since I was 5 years old. The Alpha of the pack found me asleep in the woods. He could not find anyone else out there, so he took me back to his pack. As soon as I woke, the Alpha started asking me questions, he wanted to know who I was and where I was from, who my parents were, but I only had one answer for him was that my name was Rose. Because I had no parents they could only give me the rank of omega and that is when the abuse started. Every day, I was beaten and starved for no reason at all, but what was I going to do? No one stood up for me and I was not allowed to talk back or defend myself. The she-wolf is growling at me, I quickly look down hoping that she will not hit me again. "Babe, leave that loser, she ain't worth it" Beta James says with a sneer. The she-wolf turns her attention from me to her mate, I quietly walk away and once I am out of their sight, I run straight to my room. I know I can't be in here for long, but hopefully long enough so that I won't get another beating, with a sigh I lay down on the mattress that was on the floor. It's the only thing I have to sleep on. It's not much but at least I do not have to sleep on the cold floor. I close my eyes in a hope to get some rest, as I lay there I think about my parents, a lot of pack members think they were rouges and they were killed and that is why I was all alone in the forest. For some reason, I do not believe that, something tells me they are alone. They must have had reasons for leaving me, I do not think they knew how bad this back was, 'please come recuse me' I think as I feel tears well up in my eyes. 'ROSE, MY OFFICE NOW' the Alpha mindlinks me. I quickly wipe my eyes, I cannot show any emotion or I will regret it, I quickly get up and make my way to the Alpha's office on the second floor. Once I get to the door of the Alpha's office I knock and wait to be told I can enter, "enter" I hear after a couple of minutes. I make sure my head is down as I walk into the office, "took you long enough" I hear Luna say. "I am sorry Luna" I say with my eyes on the floor, I hear footsteps as someone walks towards me. I feel a strong punch in my stomach knocking the wind out of me. I fall to the floor gripping my stomach, as I gasp for my breath. "Did I give you permission to speak to my mate?" The Alpha growls at me, I shook my head, afraid to speak again. But not speaking earns me a kick to my face, nothing I do will stop him from hitting me, "father stop, I cannot stand the stench of her" sneers Paul. Even though his words are cruel, they stop his father from hitting me again, I wait until I see the Alpha's feet move away from me before I start to move. I slowly pull myself up to stand up, as I stand I feel a blinding pain in my side and I know I have a bruised or broken rib. 'That is going to make my work difficult' I think to myself, "I've called you here as you know it is my son's 18th birthday on Saturday. I need you to send invites to all the Alpha's and make sure the King is coming, as my son will be becoming the Alpha at his party" The Alpha says proudly, "you also have to get all the food, decorations and prepare everything, you better make sure my son's birthday is perfect or you will regret it" Luna sneers at me. I quickly nod my head and move forward to grab the box of invitations and get out as fast as I can. Once I left the office I sigh with relief, this is something I can do while I rest which means I have time to heal. 'That's the last one' I think to myself as I put down the final invitation, I pick up the box and head to the front door for the courier to collect them. I look at the clock as I walk toward the front door, one minute before 7pm, 'the courier is meant to be here at 7pm' I think as I make it to the door. Just as I put my hand on the door handle I hear a knock at the door, I open to see a man bored, without a word I hand him the box and close the door. I turn and head to the kitchen to start cleaning up, as I enter I see the other omega's bringing dishes into the kitchen from the dining room. Once they see me there, they all start to leave "since you did not want to help us cook, you can do all the dishes yourself" says the head omega with a smug look on her face. I just look down and walk towards the sink as I start to clean the dishes. The next dish I pick up has some fried chicken and mash left on it. I look around to make sure no one is around. I quickly eat the reminding food on the plate. That is the only meal I have had all day, I look at the dishes I still have to do. 'This is going to take a long time' I think as I restart doing the dishes, hopefully I will be in bed before midnight.
