Chapter 2

Paul's POV:

Tomorrow I will turn 18 and finally become the Alpha of this pack, "are you excited for tomorrow?" my mother ask's me, "yes" I say without hiding my excitement. My mother claps her hands, making me roll my eyes, I wouldn't think my mother would be excited about losing her Luna title. My mother clings to power, "Mum, why are you so excited?" I ask, "because you are turning 18 and you will finally be able to find your mate." My mother says, unlike my father, my mother truly believes in the mate bond. I am like my father, mates are for the weak. The only reason I need a mate is to give me an heir, I just shake my head at my mother as I walk out of the room. As I make my way to my room I bump into the pack slave, "stay out of my f*****g way" I growl at her as I push Rose to the floor.

I stomp up the stairs to my room, as I get to my floor I am welcomed to a nice surprise, I see Mary in a mini dress, I slowly walk towards her, taking in her beauty. "Hello, soon to be Alpha" Mary hums at me, I can see the lush in her eyes. "Mary" I respond as I look down at her large beautiful breasts. Rose's POV:

'Finally done' I think to myself as I put the last dish away, my body is in pain and tired as I make my way slowly to my room. As I pass the clock I notice it is after 12am, "happy birthday to me" I sing as I make it to my room. I know it's funny how I have the same birthday as Paul, but as Paul will get gifts and a party, I get nothing. No one even knows it's my birthday, 'maybe I will find my mate soon' I think to myself as I lay down and close my eyes, soon I drift off to sleep. BEEP BEEP BEEP, the sound of my alarm wakes me up, I groan as I look at the time. 5am the usual time that I wake up at, I collect my toiletries, a change of clothes and make my way to the shower. I have a cold quick shower and change clothes so I can start preparing the packs and birthday boy's breakfast, Alpha and Luna has stated they want a buffet breakfast today. One hour later I have the sausages, bacon, waffle, muffins, hash browns and toast all cooked and set up ready. As I start making coffee I hear the other omegas come into the kitchen, "you cooked everything?" One of the omega's asked shocked, I nod at them and get back to making the coffee's. Normally I would wait to start cooking with the other omegas but I am hoping that doing this gets me out of the way to spend some time alone for my birthday. Just as I finish putting the last place onto the table, the Alpha and Luna walk in. "Well done everyone" the Alpha says, everyone smiles but I do not, all I do is make a b-line to the Kitchen door. Hoping to leave before anyone notices me, I make into the hall and see the door to my bedroom. Before I can continue the most delicious smell stops me in my tracks, 'mate' I hear my wolf say in my head, I am too focused on the smell to react to hearing my wolf for the first time. I look around to see who is giving off the smell of chocolate and oranges, I hear someone coming down the stair. As soon as I look at them I know they are my mate, the one that I should love more that life itself. The only problem is my mate is the one person that hates me more than life itself and is my biggest abuser. How can it be that my mate is none other than Paul the future Alpha on this pack.
