Rose's POV:
I feel like I am rooted to the ground, how could the moon goddess be so cruel? 'Go to mate' I hear my wolf say but I cannot move, why would I go to him when I know he will not love me? I cannot stop myself from looking at him as he keeps walking down the stairs, I know he has not found out I am his mate yet. 'Want mate' my wolf wimpers, just as I go respond to her, I feel two strong arms grab me and pin me to the wall behind me. Sparks fly up and down my arms from where Paul is touching me, I cannot help but look into his eye and I see that they are completely black. That means that his wolf has taken over his body, before I can say anything, Paul kisses me. I hear gasps around me and even though everything he has done to me, I cannot help myself but kiss him back. Maybe I was wrong, maybe just maybe Paul will love me like a mate should. I move my hands up into his soft hair as Paul move his hands down my body. "PAUL, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" I hear the Luna shout, the second Paul heard his mother's voice he pulls away from me. I see that his eyes are back to their normal colour of brown, he looks disgusted at the act he was just doing. "Son care to explain why you were kissing the pack slave?" The Alpha asks Paul with a look of horror on his face, because of the mate bond I am hoping Paul will defend me. "I am sorry dad, my wolf took over" he explains while looking down like he was ashamed. Everyone looked confused to why his wolf would make him kiss me, I do not know why none of them have throught that I was his mate and that is why he is kissing me. "I Paul Blood future Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack reject you Rose as my mate and future Luna of this pack" he sneers at me in front of everyone. I grip my chest as the pain shots through me from the rejection, as I start to fall to the ground I hear gasps from everyone with what they just heard. "Accept it" Paul growls as he stomps his way towards me, I try to speak but the pain is too much. I see Paul swing his foot back before two seconds later it makes connection to my face. "ACCEPT IT" he shouts as he keeps kicking me, I can do nothing but sob, I am trying to mouth the words but nothing comes out. Suddenly I feel myself be pushed to the back of my mind as my wolf takes over, " I, I, I Rose accept the rejection by you Paul" she sobs out. I know she hopes in saying that, that he will stop kicking her but he doesn't. My wolf is very strong, she has not made one sound with every kick she is getting. I am trying to push back to get control but she is not letting me, 'give me back control' I mindlink her. I don't want her to be getting hurt, she is already hurting from the rejection, I can feel like she does not want to give me control. Slowly I feel myself being in control again, "stop, you will kill her" I hear the Luna say as I get full control of my body. "What you care about her?" Pal sneers at his mother, "hahaha I do not care about her but if she dies who is going to cook and clean for us" she says while laughing. Everyone joins in laughing as they walk away leaving me on the floor bleeding, 'Rose you have to move' my wolf mindlinks me. I know she is right but I am in too much pain, after a few minutes of laying there on the floor I slowly crawl to my room and onto my mattress. 'Rest Rose, we will be healed soon' I hear my wolf say before I pass out.
Paul's POV:
I cannot believe the moon goddess paired me with a f*****g slave, she made the wrost mistake ever. 'Paul my office now' my father mindlinks me, I wonder what he needs me for this close to my party starting. I make my way to my father's office that will be mine in one hour. I dont bother knocking and just walk straight in, "you wanted to see me dad" I say while sitting down on a chair, "yes I did we have got a problem" he says with a frown on my face. I sit up while confused, "what problem?" I ask while trying to think of it myself, but nothing comes to mind. "The problem is honey is that you need a mate to become Alpha" my mother states, to say I am shocked is an understatement. "You never told me that" I shout at the both of them, why the f**k would they tell me this after I reject that f*****g loser? "What am I meant to do? I rejected my loser of a mate" I hiss, now I am going to lose the Alpha title before I get it, "the new King of the wolves made this rule a couple of days ago" my mother informs me. "Ha, it's funny that he makes this rule and yet he is the King. Alpha of all Alpha's and yet he does not have a mate" my father sneers, my father hates anyone that is/has more power than him. "He had no choice he have to become the King" my mother responds, "hello can we get back to my problem? What am I going to do?" I ask with worry in my voice, "you do not have a problem, you just need to get yourself a mate, the rule never said anything about it being your true mate" my father says with a smile. I smile back at him, oh my father is clever and I know just the person that I want as my mate. 'Mary come to my father's office' I mindlink her, a few minutes later we hear a few knocks on the door. "Come in" I say while smiling at the confused faces of my parents, in walks Mary "mother, father this is Mary, my mate and future Luna" I say while smiling. "What? Me Luna?" Mary stutters with shock, "this could work son" my father says before his eyes gloss over. I know he is mindlinking some, "what are you doing darling?" My mother ask, "just informing the pack that they all know it as Mary is Paul's true mate" he says. My mother smiles and gives Mary a hug, I look on smugly as I know no one in this pack will go against my father.
