Paul's POV:
I stand at the doors that lead to the grand hall of the pack house, "Paul" Mary whispers from behind me. "Yes" I answer while turning to look at her, I cannot help but smile at her shyness. "I am so nervous, what if people find out?" she asks while looking around making sure no one is around. "Don't worry, no one will find out. My father ordered the whole pack to stay silent and if anyone is asked they are to say that you are my true mate" I chuckle as I rub her cheek to calm her down. She leans into my hands and sighs, "ok, are you to ready?" My mother says as she comes up behind me, I remove my hand from Mary's cheek and turn towards my mother. "Yes" I answer for the both of us, I hear Mary take a deep breath in, "now I need to warn you about something, so that no one can do anything if they find out that you two are not true mates. Your father has decided that you two will mark each other in front of everyone" my mother informs us. Shock takes over my body, marking is something that is intimate between two mates and we are meant to do it in front of everyone. I turn towards Mary and I can see she is shaking, "hey everything is going to be fine, in less than half an hour. You will be my mate and Luna" I say while pulling her into a hug, I feel her relax into me. I do not pull away until she has stopped shaking. My mother gives us a hug each before leaving us to join my father, this is it, everything needs to go perfect.
Rose's POV:
I look at the table of food, making sure that everything is perfect, funny how I am doing this for my mate well ex-mate to be mated to another. I know I didn't want to be mated to him but it still hurt, why do horrible people get everything they want? While people like me who have done nothing to anyone, gets the s**t end of the stick. I sigh looking down at the floor, wishing that I didn't have to be here but the Alpha said everyone, even the omega's have to be witness to a new Alpha. Soon I hear people walking into the hall and I quickly move to the other side of the room. I make sure I am away from everyone so I get left alone, once everyone are in the hall the visiting Alpha's Luna's and elders make there way to the front of the hall. The last in are Paul, Mary and his parents, "Thank you to everyone attending my son's birthday" the Alpha say's. Everyone claps their hands and cheers for Paul, I cannot bring myself to clap for them, I am not wanting to celerbate for him. One of the elders at the front makes their way to Paul and Mary, "we all are honoured to have the King of the wolves himself over see this ceremony." He states earnig gasps from everyone, me included. As he said this a man walks into the hall, he as a strong aura coming off of him. Even though I am the furthest away from him, I can still feel his aura. Everyone bows down to him in a sign of respect, "thank you for inviting me" he says in a velvet voice. He voice sends shivers down my spine, "please everyone stand up" he calls. As I look up I can see him smiling, 'he has a hansome smile' I suddenly think. A purr goes off in my had which shocks me, as I have not heard from my wolf since this morning, before I can react to anything the elder that spoke earlier steph forward again. "I wold like to call on Paul, Mary, Logan and Rebecca" she calls, they all walk forward to meet him. I swallow as I see Paul again, it still hurt me to see him with someone else even though he was never mine. "Paul do you promise to lead the pack with honour? To care for everyone in this pack? And be the leader they need you to be?" The elder asks while holding his hand out for Paul's hand, "I do" Paul responded while placing his hand in the elder's palm up. The elder cuts Paul's and then cuts Logan's hand, "Please welcome your new Alpha" the elder calls as he places Paul's and Logan's hand together. Everyone cheers and howls for their knew Alpha, while I just hide some more, "please Mary and Rebecca step forward" the Alpha says. Rebecca grabs Mary's hand and walks her forward to the elder, the elder holds his hand out for Mary, with her hand shaking. Mary places her hand in his, "do you promise to lead this pak with Paul? To care for this pack? To be a mother to everyone and care for them as a mother?" He ask her while cutting her hand, "I promise to do so" she say's while wincing from the pain, Rebecca steps forward and the elder cuts her hand. He gets both of them to place their hands together, "pack members, I give you your Luna, please welcome Luna Mary" the elder proclaims making everyone cheer and howl again. I am glad that the ceremony is now over and I can get back to my room, any longer on my feet I would collapse. I make my way to the back doors so no one will see me leave, "as a special treat, Paul and Mary have decided to mark each other in front of the whole pack" I hear Logan announce. This stops me in my tracks, I cannot believe this is happening, why would they be doing this? This is not normally done, I could not move from the spot I was in as I watch Paul pull Mary close to him. Paul starts kissing Mary, as soon as he does I start feeling pain in my chest 'why am I feeling pain? We already were rejected' I ask my wolf not understanding what is going on, 'I am so sorry Rose, this is the last thing that will hurt us, this will completely brake all ties from him' she responds to me. I have to get out of here, I start to move again but the pain is building up quickly slowing me down. The worst pain I have ever fels courses through my body, I know that he has just marked Mary. I could not stop myself, I let out the loudest screa I have ever done, I hear the widows smash as I fall to the floor. As my head hit the floor I hear other screaming and people gasping, I grip my chest in an attempt to stop the pain but it doesn't work. Black spots start to fill my sight and I feel myslef start to lose consciousness, "MATE" I hear someone roar before darkness takes over me, releasing me from the pain.
