Chase POV Sage is quiet. Pensive. As we wait, she sits, her legs rocking back and forth, a frown on her face as she stares silently out the window, lost in her thoughts. The tension in the room is unbearable. I cleared my throat "Sage", I said softly, causing her to blink and look at me "is there something I can do to help you?" I offered. Anything to put a smile back on her face. Since the news of her parent's case going cold, she's been devastated, her whole demeanor of somebody who's broken.
