The remainder of the summer was spent between the couches of "friends" up until she was able to leave for college. The final week of August could not come soon enough for Cartier as she was tapping her feet impatiently within the car as Jared drove her beneath the chrome arches of the prestigious school. Although Connecticut had been well out of his way, Jared still attempted to fight for Cartier, even if it had meant getting on a plane, taking a rental car, and eventually driving the remaining two hours to the gates of the school; just to spend time with her. But as the car came to a stilled position, Cartier was unable to leave the safe confines of the vehicle.
