The weeks would quickly turn into months as Cartier found herself genuinely happy as Jared's side. Attending opening day of long awaited blockbusters and spending meals discussing their plans for the future, the couple began to assist each other through their freshman year of college. Days would approach in which Cartier would think of Dominick and nights would conjure up dreams of him; but as time passed, so did the memory of her affections for him.
As the next months were uneventful, Cartier distracted herself with her undeclared studies, unable to choose which topic she wished to work alongside for the rest of her life. But she knew she was upon the proper path as society had deemed this approach to be "right". But with each passing day, she had grown less and less convinced of this.
