“Hey girl!” Aubrey greeted as she approached the café table.
Already seated there was a somewhat anxious Delilah. Aubrey had been surprised when she got a call and an invite from her sister-in-law for lunch but was happy to agree. Despite assuring the girls Cole was not the vindictive type she had some reservations. Sitting across from Delilah and placing their orders Aubrey took a moment to study her.
Though the gala’s events from several nights ago had no doubt been shocking she seemed settled and content. In fact Delilah looked quite happy. Raising a brow Aubrey continued to study her awhile longer while they waited for their orders.
