“Don’t you hello Ya-Ya me, girl,” the older woman said stepping into the room and setting her large bag down. With a warm smile she approached Tracy offering a hand. Tracy took it but instead of shaking it Ya-Ya turned her hand palm up and studied it carefully. “You have nothing to worry about. You have a nice long lifeline and this is only the first of many little ones for you,” Ya-Ya smiled and looked at Thomas. “You take care of her, you hear young man?” Thomas nodded. “Jamie, can you bring me my bag?” Aubrey set him on his feet allowing him to drag the rather heavy bag from the door where Ya-Ya had left it to his great-aunt’s side.
