Nicolas parked beside the large manor his heart hammering in his chest. Beside him Aubrey reached over and gripped his hand offering comfort and support. In the back seat Ya-Ya and Jamie quietly played a traveling game involving pegs.
“Ready?” Aubrey asked after a moment to collect his thoughts.
“No, but let’s get this over with,” Nicolas said.
They slowly climbed out and gathered beside the vehicle. The small parking area had several other cars already which meant his brothers were also there. Nicolas hadn’t been looking forward to confronting his father and even less so having to face his brothers. But they were there already and now he could face all of them and be done with it.
