‘Go after her,’ Morax yells as I watch Raven leave the house.
I hesitate for a moment, but I have a bad feeling, and my dragon is insistent, so I rush out after her. I sniff the air and follow her scent down the path. A cold mist is hanging in the air, which only raises my suspicions.
I am keenly aware that Jeff and Merlyn are behind me. I ignore their presence and continue down the path past a school and into the thick woods.
“Isn’t that where Raven used to hang out with Loki?” I hear Merlyn ask Jeff.
“Raven?” I call out and head down a worn path and come into a clearing just as I see Raven in the arms of Claude Moonstone.
