“Raven, Raven, where are you?” Morax’s voice echoes through my mind.
“Wake up, dear,” A strange woman’s voice says, and I open my eyes in fright. I jump when she touches my shoulder. “It’s okay dear,” She speaks softly.
I look her up and down. She has beautiful blonde hair and ice-blue eyes. “Who are you?” I mutter as I look around. I am in a large ornate room, lying on a bed with a canopy.
“Yvonne Blackstone,” She responds.
My heart thrums against my chest as I realize I am looking at Nico’s mother. “Nico’s mother?” I blurt out, and Yvonne’s expression darkens.
“We don’t say that name here,” She hisses.
“What am I doing here?” I whimper and hug my belly.
