We had to wait in the treeline for the guards on patrol to get closer to us. The longer that we went without being detected, the longer we had to try and save Dawn without them taking out their rage at our attack on her, or even worse, kill her just to cause us pain, me pain. I did not put it past them. But they were moving too slowly, seeming to think that they had pulled the easy duty as they did not even have the guns that they held at their side ready to fire.
I understood why they had set the house so far back, not wanting to raise suspicion from those who lived close by.
