It was dark when Daniel woke up, looking up with blinking eyes and seeing Kysenia’s naked body sprawled out beside him.
He stretched his back out and rolled over on to it with a happy sigh.
Kysenia stirred and opened her eyes, regarding him with those pale jade green orbs expressing a little wonderment in them.
Daniel glanced at her and rolled back onto his side, propped up on an elbow. He brushed some hair from her face. “You’re awake?”
“Just…how are you feeling?”
Daniel grinned. “Shouldn’t I be asking you that question…actually I feel like this is all a dream, and you?”
Kysenia shuffled up to sit up, adjusting the pillows behind her head. “Still a little exhausted…” Her eyes twinkled. “I really didn’t know you had that in you…”
Daniel felt the heat in his cheeks as he sat up too.
