It was a two hour drive out of Kyoto to the mountain on which the gateway was situated. The drive was windy and steep and Daniel was starting to feel the altitude as he swallowed hard causing his ears to pop. “Why is the gateway all the hell the way out here?” Daniel grumbled as they turned off the main sealed road onto a tree-lined gravel road and still wound up the mountain side. “If it was any closer we run the risk of it being found by humans…” Daniel huffed and looked away, his stomach rolling as they did another sweeping turn around another hair-pin turn. He groaned. “We are almost there…why don’t you try to connect with your meridians? It might help to ease your car sickness…” Kysenia rubbed his back and rested her cheek on his shoulder. “If we’re almost there I’ll be fine.”
