Caly’s POV
I try to sneak off the bed without waking my Mate, but no such luck. “What’s wrong?” He says as he bolts upright.
“Shane just mind-linked me, Erik just showed up at the border.”
“Who’s Erik?”
“Julia’s Mate! Can you try and pay attention?”
He snorts at me, “I’m coming down with you.”
“Fine. I’ll ask Colin to come over,” I say. Doc is working overnights so I expect he’s still up, when I mind-link he answers right away.
“REALLY?” Stav says surprised I conceded. “I mean good!”
“What’s going on?” Colin asks as we meet in the hallway.
“Julia’s Mate, Erik, just got picked up trying to sneak in.”
“Ooo, can I go too? I want to see this guy.”
“No. You can see him in the morning.”
