Caly’s POV
Everleigh makes another strangled noise, and I realize it's her that Conner has recognized as his Mate. I rush over to hug her by her shoulders and lean into her ear and whisper, "This must be a shock for you. I want you to know Conner is a wonderful young male. I’ll go talk to him, and explain to him a little bit about you if you like. Then I can introduce you when you're ready." She only nods, too shaken up to speak.
Ryan is holding Conner tightly as Stavros growls at him. They are nose to nose, Stavros’s aura forcing him back into the common room but Conner is fighting it every step of the way, while Julia looks on frightened. Conner is a machine on the training fields but Julia doesn't see him that way.
