We did not know the packlands of Eldermoon Pack well, but we made it work. We had an idea of where our warrior had lost his life, and our wolves did the rest. Three strange men, or wolves when we shifted, earned many a strange glance from pack members as we moved through the pack, so we knew our time could well be limited. But, the three of us managed to wander for a number of hours. Aimlessly, it felt at times. Searching. The main area we had searched was, of course, the forest in which Rafe had lost his life. But, it was all too neat. Tidy. Clean. Unnatural almost. And we now walked toward the packhouse almost desolately. We had found nothing.
