I gazed back, Fiona sat alone at the back of the bus, her head hung low, lost in thought. I considered going over to keep her company, but recent events between us made me hesitate. I stuck to my decision to keep my distance, believing it was for the best.
Turning away from Fiona, I noticed Marcus seated in the corner, opposite to where Fiona sat. He stared out the window with headphones on, lost in his own world.
