Bella
The doorbell rang, and Fiona dashed to open the door. Outside stood Marcus, clad in a brown leather jacket, white shirt, and brown pants. I waited for his reaction as his gaze fell on Fiona.
“Fiona?” Marcus asked, sounding confused as he scanned her from head to toe.
“Hi, Marcus, you look dashing as ever,” she blushed.
“Thanks, but you look amazing too. Did you do something to your hair?” he asked, still puzzled, and Fiona seemed to relish his reaction.
“Yeah, do you like it?” she asked, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
Marcus nodded, and as I approached the door, I saw him peering in and asking Fiona, “Where's Arabella? She's coming with you, right?” My jaw clenched.
I stood beside Fiona and smiled at Marcus. “Hi there,” I said.
