“What?” The word burst from Lily’s mouth before she could stop it.
She had no love left for her father, but she couldn’t believe the pack was going to kill him. She’d assumed he would simply be imprisoned somewhere, forced to live the rest of his life in a cell.
“Can’t he just be locked away?” she asked.
“With werewolves like your father, it’s too risky,” Finn explained. “If he managed to escape after he turns fully savage, he could kill dozens or even hundreds before we manage to take him down.”
Lily gulped. “You make it sound like he’ll be some sort of killing machine.”
“That’s exactly what he would become,” Finn said. “It’s rare that this happens, but when it does, it’s bad.”
