Horseback riding was not his thing. Callan’s back ached and both his legs are numb. They’ve been riding for hours and it looked like it was nearing dusk. The sky is changing into hues of pinks and orange. He wondered if he can absorb some magic from the sunsets here in Vernia. He had to try. They came up to a clearing as the skies continue to change colour. The sun is setting soon. He needs to stop now. He told Jinna to stop. “I think we should take a break now,” he said, dismounting clumsily and almost fell down if he didn’t grab onto the reins.
