*Gabriella’s POV*
I shift into my Lycian and run towards the forest. When I feel Roxy getting tired, I change into my Tiger.
Xavier follows me occasionally playfully, nipping at my legs.
We stop and drink from the lake by the waterfall, then run through the forest again.
I feel so free running through the forest. For the first time since I found out about the supernatural world, I have not felt safe or free but tonight, running with Xavier through the forest at our house is something I only dreamed about.
We run until we get tired and then walk back to the house side by side.
I shift back into my human form and wait for Xavier to get his pants on. Then we walk inside to see Ruby making us dinner. I see a baby monitor sitting on the counter and pick it up and listen to it.
