A week later…
Don German’s condition improved after the procedure. Samira and Damien were very pleased with the result, more so when the doctor expressed that Don German might be allowed to rest at home provided he wouldn’t stress himself too much. A team of medical professionals would visit him weekly.
“You heard that, grandpa?” Samira uttered, with tears in the corners of her eyes, it was a new beginning for them, “No stress, then we can go home in a couple of days."
Those words from the physician made her worries disappear. His assurance filled Samira's heart with joy. She looked at her grandpa's face and noticed that his skin color improved and his weight was gradually increasing.
"You are getting younger, grandpa," she teased him.
He chuckled.
