*Astrid’s POV*
After I collapsed during the mate's ball, Max did not leave my side unless he attended to his duties. I was released from the hospital and put on strict bed rest for a week or two until the doctors are happy with my blood pressure, so I plan the festival from my bed. Valerie has been coming in to keep me company when she has time; we have gotten close over the past few days, and she has assured me I have a lot of work to catch up on when I get to leave this bed! I know she is joking, but it's nice to laugh, and it takes my mind off how much worse the fall could have been.
