*Astrid’s POV
Waking up next to Maximus is always good rolling over to see his face and take in his features is better. I slide out of bed, and I quickly get dressed and go downstairs to make sure the preparations are underway. I get to the ballroom, and I am impressed the maids have been busy setting up and having corsages placed near the entry. I walk to Valerie and look down at what she is doing, and I notice she has a spark in her eye and a smile I haven't seen for many years on her face, and that makes me happy to see my help smiling for the first time in year's I stand next to Valerie and begin to help her she pauses and stares at me
