The next morning came far too fast. His Alpha remained on high alert, checking the vents, making sure they still smelled a little like a cleaning solution to tamp down his Omega’s building scent too. It was hard enough to hear the footsteps above and below them. Those on the opposite walls from his apartment made his skin crawl. He hoped none of them were keen on her. The last thing he needed to do was lose his mind over worrying about them. What he would rather be doing is, well… Shane tried to stop his forward thinking. It was already hard not to deal with his needs. His cold shower this morning did nothing for his situation. Soap became an enemy. The idea that he could remove her, albeit faint scent, made his Alphas scowl at it that morning. Disgust ran through him at the thought. D
