“Go Jay Bee!” a man’s roar from behind Shane startled him enough to blink.
Shane heard the way Kim snorted and Paulie chuckled at the intruder. He listened partially to their conversation while he kept his eyes on his girl.
“Sorry for startling ya there. I never know how loud I need to be to get her goin ya know?”
The man went on to introduce himself again as Charles to Kim.
“Big fan,” he added, making Paulie frown. Charles cleared his throat and sat back on his board, then gave credit to Shane for even going out there with Michelle. “I guess that’s why Jay Bee named you Michane,” he snorted.
