Begging In Silence

Chapter Seven.

Thane's P.O.V

Ah, my head hurts and my muscles ache, coming to I sit up and see my mother basically strangling Miley to death. Everything rushes back to me and I quickly push my mom back, helping Miley to her feet.

"Are you alright?" I ask as she coughs and she nods, I glare at my mother.

"That's enough." Her facial expression tells me that she is livid.

"Careful, if she's really taken your powers away then you won't be a match for me." I know it's my mother but being spoken to like that just, ticks me off.

"Let's find out." I snarl.

"Enough." Miley says throwing herself in front of me. She looks at my mother in disbelief. "Are you really going to fight your own son? Has your anger blinded you that much?" Her face softens and she looks in between us.

"No." She whispers. "I'm so sorry Thanatos." She says sadly, hugging me. Mind linking everyone to stand down we all stop fighting with each other and things begin to settle. Amber and Ares come to as well.

"Is it done?" I turn to Miley, everyone goes quiet waiting for her response.

"Yes." Aiming my hand at a vase I try to move it but it doesn't work and I chuckle.

"They really are gone." I whisper more to myself.

"How do you feel?" Ares asks and I shrug.

"Free I guess." Our father comforts our mother when he feels how she feels. I go to her and pull her to me. "Mom, everything will be fine you'll see." Hugging her she hugs me back. After spending some time at Miley's place we all head home. "You did good, get some rest." I say to Noah and Olivia and they nod in agreement.

"Alpha." They say in union, leaving. After a hot shower I change into more comfortable clothes and lay in bed then decide to finish my assignments. If I do them now then I can hand in on time. While writing my thesis I feel a painful ringing sound in my head and suck in a breath, covering my ears. When it stops and I remove my hands there's blood on them.

"Thane." Ares walks in and when he sees my hands he knows it's me. "Did Miley say this would happen?"

"No, she didn't mention any side affects. It's still the first day, the spell took a huge toll on our bodies so it'll blow over."

"You're probably right, but if it continues I'm telling Amber." Rolling my eyes he chuckles, leaving. I'll indulge their relationship for now but ...

"Thane! Get up or you'll be late." Quickly waking up I look around, I fell asleep on my desk. Rushing to the bathroom I take a shower, get dressed and pack my stuff up, heading downstairs. Sitting down, Ares passes me my plate.

"Thanks."

"Morning." She hugs me over my shoulders and I stiffen.

"Morning mother." Half way through Ares looks at his watch.

"We need to go now. Bye mom." He kisses her cheek. "Dad." They nod at each other.

"Mom, dad." I say nodding and we head out, getting into our cars. Getting to school I find Jason and Olivia already waiting for me by the parking lot. Why do they look so serious? Getting out I look at them. "What's going on?"

"We have a problem." Olivia says. I furrow my eyebrows.

"What's the problem?"

"Where's Ares?" Just then he approaches us. "Alpha."

"Jason what is it?"

"Olivia speak."

"For some reason Mike hit Amber, Noah jumped in to protect her and he ordered his goons to gang up on Noah. As we speak he's fighting them by himself."

"Olivia!"

"He told us to stay out of it." I can feel Ares's anger.

"Where's Amber?" She doesn't say anything and just leads us to the scene. Noah might be the beta of an Alpha but this is an all wolves school which means him being outnumbered might get him hurt. Especially if those wolves fight as dirty as Mike. Mike is the grandson of Lorenzo Lopez, his mother was Amira Lopez which makes Kyle, the bastard who kidnapped my mother and killed aunt Maya, his uncle. Getting there Ares doesn't say anything, he just pulls Mike and punches him across the face and grabs everyone's attention. "Amber, here, now." She heads to him with her head down. Getting up Noah dusts himself off and comes to me, smirking.

"Took you long enough." He says spitting out blood.

"You're always getting yourself into some sort of trouble." I chuckle. Mike chuckles getting up and my face turns serious.

"The kings are finally here!" He yells looking irritated, I turn to Ares ignoring him.

"He clearly just wants a reaction from us, don't-"

"You dare put your hands on her, I'll make you beg for mercy." Stepping in front of him he glares at me. "Move." Sighing, I move aside. When he's like this there's nothing I or anyone can do. Raising his hand he forms a fist and you can see Mike is in pain as Ares crushes his body. Walking to him he kicks him in the chest, throwing him into the lockers across the hall. He repeatedly pounds into his face.

"Ares." Setting his body on fire Mike's screams echo in the hallways. Students and teachers just stand by, watching. "Ares! That's enough." He stops. Pulling him by the hair, Mike winces and he snarls at him.

"You were lucky this time, next time I'll kill you like the trash you are." Mike looks up at Ares, pissed off as hell and he walks away. Sitting at our spot I turn to him as he talks to Amber then look at her.

"Give us a minute will you?" She nods and gets up but he pulls her back down.

"She stays."

"Ares it's fine, talk to your brother." She says calmly but he looks at me.

"She stays." Fine let's have it your way.

"How long is this going to keep going on?" I look at them, meaning their relationship.

"I told you that I love Am-"

"Amber isn't your mate! She is not yours to have and neither are you. How long do you think you're going to keep her around when your mate comes? How long will you continue to love her before you toss her aside? Hm?!"

"That won't happen." He bangs the table getting up.

"Yes it will, look at mom and dad, look at HER mom. You are an Alpha! But today you almost killed Mike for no reason."

"He put his hands on her!"

"But she isn't the Luna of the Blue-moon pack where if she is touched then death is the only punishment that would suffice. What were you going to say to the elders? You're acting recklessly and making poor decisions."

"She may not be the Luna of this pack but she is mine and everyone knows that no one lays a finger on a woman claimed by an Alpha. It is law." I sigh.

"In the end the person you'll be hurting the most is her, think about that." I say walking away. When they started dating I told myself that I'd stay out of it and let him do whatever makes him happy but after what happened this morning, the way he reacted to the situation, proved that their relationship is starting to become a huge problem. One that I can't afford to let slip by me, so if it comes down to it, I'll eliminate her if I have to.
