Chapter 28: Purification of the Possessed
Jamie’s POV
The attic was dimly lit. The possessed girl looked to be about nineteen or so. She was muttering to herself. The familiars had arrived ahead of their witches and wizard. The Council Members must still be in the snow with Brynn. I hoped she would be stuck there. Maybe I could be rid of her from now on. A girl could dream.
Gold hissed at the possessed girl and she hissed back. Shadow flew up to the rafters and perched there as far away from her as possible. Smog hopped away following Gold to a corner of the room. Was I allowed to start this task on my own? I did not do anything in case it would get me disqualified. I waited and I waited.
