Chapter 53: Bubblebath before Bedtime
Jamie’s POV
The ballroom looked resplendent like the setting of a royal wedding feast straight out of a classic fairytale. The room was immaculate, its shimmery white tiles gleaming and its cream walls spotless. The floor-length windows shone, not a single speck of dust to be found on any pane. There were crystal chandeliers sparkling overhead. The round tables were covered in cream satin table-clothes. The centrepiece of each table varied slightly but all contained a tall crystal vase with long-stem white and plum roses, baby’s breath and white and purple orchids.
