Chapter 40 The Awakening

Marnie has been in a coma for less than a month. Making her lost so much of her weight. Her face became thinner.

As Doctor Michael was talking to her and caressing her hand, she suddenly opened her eyes.

"Water! I need some water," she whispered. Doctor Michael heard her whisper and he immediately get some water for her. He put a little water on a piece of cotton and started to dip it into her lips. She should not drink it right away.

Marnie tastes the water from her lips while wondering where she was. "Where am I?" she asked. She was so thirsty. "Can I drink water already?" she asked.

"No. It's enough for now," Doctor Michael told her.

Doctor Michael said, "You are still here in the hospital . You have been in a coma for about a month already," he was now caressing Marnie's face. Her face was so thin and very pale now.

Marnie remembered her pregnancy. She panic when she touch her belly," Hey, where are my babies?" she was about to cry when she realized that her belly was no longer big. She remembered that she fall before.

Doctor Michael holds her hand and said," You already gave birth to them. They were in NICU as of the moment since they were premature," he smiled at her. "But they are getting better already."

"How are they? Can I see them?" she asked him.

"Can't be for now my dear wife. You need to regain more strength so that I can bring you to them," he said softly as he. saw eagerness from her eyes.

Marnie became sad. She longed for her twins. She wanted to see them. Thinking of how many days she was in a coma after giving birth to the twins made her sadder. She wasn't able to see them when they came to form her womb. She hadn't had an opportunity to carry and breastfeed them first. It should be her first time as a mother and she failed to do her tasks as a new mom for his twins.

Doctor Michael told her," It's okay. You can have them both after all of you fully recovered. So take some rest for now and regain your strength. You need to practice gripping objects and eating alone."
