CHAPTER 13 Going Home

After almost 2 months stayed in the hospital, she awakened and everybody was relieved already. Marnie can now go home with her parents. She had lost so much weight and her parents wanted her to quit her job as a Professional Medical Representative. They wanted to bring her home and take care of her.

Marnie's company allowed her to have a definite leave and let Marnie recuperate well.

Marnie needed to gain weight and recovered her strength after almost 2 months of being in a coma. It's quite hard for her to recover everything after she woke up. There are so many changes around her.

Her mother was more protective yet very accommodating with her right now. Her father and elder brothers wanted to be with her side all the time and never bullied her again.

What's more surprising was that Doctor Michael seemed to be so closed and protective with her as if she was a fragile precious thing for him.

Since she woke up, Doctor Michael was almost on her side all the time or if he was out, his Secretary was always there to accommodate all her needs. He even hired a private nurse for her who took care of her when she was in the hospital and he doubled her salary as well so that she can take care of Marnie at home.

"How are you? Do you need anything?" doctor Michael asked her when he entered the VIP room and saw Marnie staring at the ceiling.

"Thank you, Doctor," she said. She knew how he took care of her. Her parents told her.

"Call me Michael, Marns," he said and he engulfed his big palm on her tiny hand.

Marnie was a bit confused. When she woke up it seemed that Doctor Michael was already her boyfriend. She felt her presence when she was in a coma and she can purely feel his concern and touch of care now.

"Thank you, Michael," she said.

"Better. It's pleasant to my ears hearing you call my name. How are you feeling now? You will be going home later," he asked.

"Yup, my parents wanted me to resign. I've filed indefinite leave already.

"You need to rest. You can quit your job. You are so fragile now. I advise you to take a full rest. I'll visit you in Batangas okay," he said while combing her hair with his fingers.

'I'll help you on your full recovery okay," he touched her face as well.

Marnie felt so comfortable talking with him and his touch made her feel secure.

"Thank you, Michael," she said with a smile.

"You have to undergo a soft and liquid diet okay. No more meat already and street foods. Only water and sterilized milk. You have to make fruit juices. I've already instructed your private nurse on your diet. You have very sensitive digestion now since I've removed the upper part of it already," he explained to her.

"Can I ask you something Michael," Marnie asked him?

"Sure, what is it?" he said.

"You are the one who did my surgery right?" she asked while blushing.

"Yes, why?" he said.

"Did, Did you see me naked?" she asked.

"Yes, and even touched you all over your body inside and out," he smiled at her. He knew that she was embarrassed.

"It's normal for a surgeon like me. I can't close my eyes then otherwise I might cut the other part, no worries okay," he said while messing her hair. She was indeed like a child.

"Okay," she said.

"I'll keep it a secret okay. I won't tell anybody that you had a big mole on your butt," he teased her.

Marnie's face reddened and how she wished that there's a hole in the middle of her bed so that she will disappear right away.

"I won't allow anybody to see that okay. I'll be the only one who will know it okay," he smiled and he kissed her forehead before he left.

"I'll go ahead sweetie, I still have some other patients. I'll try to come back to see you before you leave okay," He gave her a sweet kiss on her lips.

Marnie was frozen, it was her first kiss ever and Doctor Michael was the one who did it to her. She touched her lips while Doctor Michael smiled and winked at her before he left.

"Oh my God. What had happened? Was he my boyfriend because I had my accident? Did I suffer from amnesia?" she kept on asking herself as she is quite conscious about their relationship. He's so caring and too sweet on her.

She can't explain but she likes it. She likes to be taken care of by Michael. She slept while waiting for their clearance from the hospital

The private nurse heard and saw everything and she smiled. She knew that Doctor Michael loved this young lady already.

She was quite so happy with their love romance blossoming inside this room.

How she wished that she also met someone like Doctor Michael but she doesn't want to be a patient like Marnie.

Being Marnie's private nurse Marnie since day 1 in ICU made her attached to her. It seemed that she was taking good care of her little sister. He liked her so much.

She prepared a wheelchair for Marnie. Doctor Michael bought this for her as she will still be can't walk due to her exploratory surgery. He reminded Sheila, the private nurse to report to him everything about Marnie and to take the utmost care with her. He will visit Marnie this weekend in Batangas, Marnie's hometown.

He was just in the middle of an operation with another patient now. How he wished that he will be the one to send her home.

Marnie was looking at Doctor Michael too before she left her room. She missed his presence.

"Where's Doctor Michael?" she asked nurse Shiela.

"He's in the operating room Madam with his patient. He wanted to be the one to send you home but he can't. He told me to take utmost care of you," Nurse Shiela told her. She saw the sadness in Marnie's eyes.

"He will visit you the soonest time Madam, don't be sad," she said.

Marnie's parents and brothers helped her to ride on their coaster. Her brothers set up a comfortable bed in the coaster so that Marnie can take a rest inside and be comfortable.

They started to go home in Batangas together with nurse Sheila.
