Since Marnie doesn't want to resign and her company allowed her to have an indefinite leave, her parents brought her home to Batangas. She was more on bed rest as she needed a full rest for her recovery. She used to cry every time her private nurse was cleaning her surgical wound. It ruined her abdomen and left a long scar on her whole tummy with 40 stitches. She was advised also not to eat meats anymore as she can't fully digest them now. She was advised to become vegetarian and the only protein she can eat will be fish and chicken white meat only. It was a total change for her lifestyle. Her mother, Mrs. Castello personally prepared all her food to eat to secure her health. " Why not resign with your job my dear. Just be here at home and we will take care of you," Mrs. Castello told her. Since Marnie went home, she doesn't want her daughter to be indifferent to her anymore. She will show and express her love and care for her already. After Marnie's accident, she won't allow her daughter to be hurt again. It almost crushed her heart. She loves her daughter so much. "I understand Mom. I'll consider that in that future. For now, I'm just on leave. It's quite hard for me to move. I'm thinking of something that can help me be productive as well. I don't want to be in this wheelchair forever," she said sadly. Her mother approached and hugged her. She knew that her daughter is adjusting to her new self. From being hyperactive to a non-active one. She was also a great dancer before and a future athlete for equestrian. But after what happened to her, things will be different. Though she knew her daughter well. She's creative and won't self-pity for the whole time. She will support whatever she wanted to explore now. She remembered that she's also good at painting. She asked his elder son to buy paint materials and canvas for Marnie. They will give them a gift for her to unleash her creative works. She's also good in handcrafts so she added some materials requested for Andrew to buy for her sister. "Got it, Mom. I'll buy everything later," he said. He was so grateful that there's a big change in their mother's attitude already. After what happened to Marnie, their mother changed a lot. She used to be considerate with them now especially to Marnie which never happened before. He was so excited to buy all the things their mother asked him to buy for their younger sister. They wanted Marnie to be alive again. This little girl was very lively, smart, and creative before. She is very competitive and a fighter. That's why he and Charles used to bully her because she used to fight with them. Great memories. Now they were all hoping that Marnie will regain his self-confidence as she was lacking in her wheelchair for now. Meanwhile... At St. Lukes Hospital, as Doctor Michael was doing his rounds to his patients, he stopped for a while in Marnie's VIP room for 3 months. He used to visit her all the time and even stayed there to take care of her when she was still in a state of coma. He was so happy that she's not there anymore but somehow he missed his tiny lady. He was waiting for weekends already as he took a two-day leave. He won't' accept any appointments and emergencies this coming Saturday and Sunday as he will be visiting Marnie in her hometown in Batangas. He promised her that he will visit her and he knew that she will be waiting for him. He wanted her to be his after he took care of her during her hospitalization. He wanted to take care of and protect her for the rest of their lives. She was his fragile possession. He missed her so much. He felt that he lost half of his happiness when he can no longer see her. On the other hand, Marnie was also waiting for Doctor Michael's visit to her. She was accustomed to his care already and that he used to be there and visit her in her room when she was hospitalized. "He told me he will visit me here. It will be the weekend already and I heard nothing from him hmmm," she was talking to herself already. She missed him so well. Suddenly... Knock! Knock! She was too excited as her mother opened the door and her two brothers were there. She felt a little bit disappointed as she thought it was Doctor Michael already. But she can't voice out her disappointments, they were her loving and handsome brothers. She smiled at them and they approached her. They hugged and kissed her cheeks and gave her a bouquet. She loved flowers and she was so thankful for her brothers. "Thank you so much, Andrew and Charles," she said while crying. "Hey, why are you crying Princess? Didn't you like it?"Charles asked her and started to wipe off her tears. "I am so happy. You haven't given me flowers for such a long time," she said. Mrs. Castello smiled as she knew that their daughter is throwing tantrums at her big brothers already. "Oooops. Okay, every day you will be getting flowers from us already okay. Stop crying, you look so ugly when you cry," Andrew said while messing Marnie's hair. "Will you two stop bullying your younger sister? Come on I've cooked a carbonara for our snacks today," Mrs. Castello butt in as she knew these two elder brothers will start to bully their younger sister already. "Mom, here's your request," Andrew handed 3 full of paper bags to their mother. Mrs. Castello approached Marnie and gave them all to her. "Here Princess, these are all yours," she handed all of those to Marnie. When Marnie opened them also she almost burst out crying as these were all her favorites, brushes, canvas acrylic, charcoal, and creative materials. "Wow, Mom. Thank you. I can't be asked for more. I love them all," she embraced all the three bags. She can't wait but to paint already/ "Welcome," her mother kissed her forehead. "Charles and Andrew will set hose up later. Let's have our snacks in the meantime. Charles, please call your Dad," Mrs. Castello said. All of them were so happy seeing how Marnie smiled with the flowers to her paint materials. They all dine together happily. Charles and Andrew set up Marnie's tools at her favorite place, in their garden as she can fully relax there and concentrate on her painting.
