CHAPTER 35 Bundles of Joy

It's Marnie's prenatal check-up today. Doctor Michael changed Marnie's ObGyne, from Doctor Garcia to his friend Doctor Cuevas, she was a well-known ObGYne and he knew she can be trusted well on his wife's pregnancy.

After a thorough examination, Doctor Cuevas happily shared the good news to the couple, Marnie and Doctor Michael. "Congratulations to both of you as you will be expecting not only one baby but two baby boys. You will be expecting a twin."

Doctor Michael just can't believe it. Being an only child, he was so excited and amazed at the same time. "Wow, I was such a blessed father," he said while combing his wife's hair through his fingers.

Marnie was so excited as well. Being a first-time mother and she will be expecting not just one but two growing lives in her tummy is such a wonderful feeling. She was almost teary eyes with the news.

"Hey, why are you crying? Aren't you happy with our twins?" Doctor Michael wiped off her tears flowing from her cheeks.

"I am not sad. I am overjoyed. I am so happy having them inside me," she said happily to him caressing her tummy which started to have baby bumps already.

Marnie was surprised when deliveries of online orders for the twins' kinds of stuff start coming in. Their guest room was almost full already. There were lots of nursery kinds of stuff already. Doctor Michael ordered almost most of the twin's needs before they come in.

The renovation and conversation of guest room to nursery room were started already and the two couples were both excited to fill in all the nursery things inside until it was done.

Doctor Michael gave his wife a warm embrace.

"I am so happy. Thank you so much, my dear wife. When you came into my life, I was so blessed. And now you're giving me twins, it's so overwhelming Honey. I love you so much," Doctor Michael can't help himself but to give his wife a deep kiss even if the doctor and his nurse were still in front of them.

The two of them were so happy for the new parents.

Doctor Michael smiled at his wife. He was so lucky as they will be having a complete family at this early stage of their marriage.

Dra. Cuevas gave her prescriptions to Marnie. More vitamins and medicines for her pregnancy. She had a history of abdominal surgery so she was at high risk of pregnancy and needed bed rests most of the time.

Doctor Michale listened well from his fellow doctor's advice to his loving wife. He will personally take care of Marnie especially in her journey on pregnancy for their twins. He knew that it will be at high risk since her surgery was a major surgery in less than two years only.

"Well noted on this Dra. Cuevas. Thank you so much," Marnie told her Ob Gyne. She's a bit scared but when she looked at her husband's eyes, he almost looked for comfort and security.

Doctor Michael smiled at her and said," Fear not my dear wife, as I will be taking care of you so dearly." Doctor Michael read the fear in his wife's eyes and he wanted her to feel that she is secured and protected under his custody.

"Congratulations again Dr. Co and Mrs. Co," Dra. Cuevas told them.

The couple then left her clinic and went to Doctor Michael's private office. He will visit his office first and check some hospital and administrative reports.

"You may take a rest at our private room first in my office Honey," Doctor Michael told Marnie while holding her hands. He was really happy after hearing the news of Marnie's carrying their twins already.

"Thanks, Honey. I felt a bit tired actually and sleepy," Marnie said while Doctor Michael while accompanied her inside their private room. It has a king-size bed inside and has a relaxing ambiance inside. Doctor Michael used to stay there every time he can't go home due to a toxic and busy schedule with his patients.

Marnie load down and Doctor Michael tucked her inside the quilt, "Sleep now Honey. I'll order some food for our lunch later okay. I love you," Doctor Michael told her while combing Marnie's hair with his fingers. He caressed her soft and supple cheeks first then gave her a sweet kiss before leaving her.

"I love you too Honey," Marnie said to Doctor Michael before she closed her eyes.

"Doctor Michael was still standing at the doctor while looking at his sleeping wife. She was so beautiful yet so fragile. If only Doctor Michael can take all the hardships on the journey of pregnancy, he will. He sighed," I'll take care of you my dear wife. I love you so much," he said to himself while starting to close the door after leaving her.

Doctor Michael went straight to his swivel chair and started to read and check all the documents on top of his office desk.

After 2 hours, he called his secretary and asked her to order some food for their lunch. He doesn't want to disturb Marnie and go out for lunch. He will feed her while in bed when she wakes up.

He opened his laptop and googled some pieces of stuff for twin baby boys. He searched for cradles, feeding bottles, clothes, and many more. He was smiling while searching and ordering baby stuff online. He was so excited. He ordered so much stuff to be delivered to their home within this week. He knew that Marnie will be surprised then. He doesn't want his wife to stroll in the mall to buy those kinds of stuff, especially with her delicate pregnancy.

Tomorrow he will ask his interior designer friend to visit their home and convert the guest room into a nursery room for their upcoming twins. He was so amazed that there will be twins for them already. They were his flesh and blood and living inside Marnie's womb now. What a great blessing. He can't help but wipe off the tears from his eyes. He was overjoyed and excited. He was now making his own family with the love of his life, with his beloved loving wife, Marnie.

He remembered how frightened he was saving her life two years ago when she had her vehicular accident. He was so frightened also when she has almost miscarried the twins because of Dra. Garcia's evil plans. He won't allow anybody to harm and hurt Marnie especially under her delicate condition now. He will hire additional two helpers and one private nurse for Marnie to take care of her especially when he was not at home.

He waited for Marnie to wake up before they had their lunch. They have so many plans already for their bundles of joy. Their upcoming twins.
