CHAPTER 18. At the Mall

Marnie decided to visit her best friend Nina in their boarding house. She wanted to work already but her parents didn't allow her. She was getting bored already. She has recovered already and she can move freely but her parents asked her to have more leave.
She knew that her parents were just concerned with her because they loved her so much. Her car accident caused her family trauma that every time she went out, they don't want her to drive her car. Her father and elder brothers were always there to drive for her every time she wanted to go out.
Ding! Dong!
Nina who was awakened by a continuous doorbell stood up and opened the door without washing her face first.
"Hmmm. Who could be visiting me at this early morning," she was so pissed off and wanted to shout whoever this one disturbing her early this morning.
"Ninaaaa! I've missed you so much, sissy!" Marnie's voice was too loud when the door opened and she knew the newly woke up, Nina. She hugged her best friend so tight.
Nina can't find any words as she was so shocked seeing her best friend and hugging her just now. The last time she saw her was before her parents took her home. She was so fragile at that time.
She can't help but cry after collecting herself.
"Sissy, how are you? I've missed you too," she hugged Marnie too and started crying while talking to her.
"Hey. Don't cry. I am still alive," she said/
"I have Dad with me. I just missed you and I'll get my other things but not all okay," she said to Nina.
"Let's stroll first before you go back home," Nina said. She misses the times when they stroll together. Since they were near Ali Mall, she asked her to stroll first.
"But what we were doing there? I can't play the dancing mat anymore," Marnie said. They used to play dancing mat before at the amusement park in Ali Mall.
"We can just window shop and buy some groceries. I missed you," Nina said. She just wanted to be with Marnie.
"Alright. Dad, can you please drive for us? We were just doing mall strolling," she said to her father.
"Okay," he said.
The two enjoyed strolling well. They did window shop since they didn't intend to buy anything.
"Let's have a facial treatment," Nina asked her.
"Okay then, I've missed it," Marnie replied.
As they were about to go to the facial salon, Marnie bumped a beautiful woman.
"My apology Ma'am. It wasn't intended," she asked apology sincerely.
"It's okay," the woman said softly.
She was sophisticated and smart.
"Are you alright Cristina," the elder woman asked her while giving a dark look at Marnie,
"I am okay Tita," the woman replied...
"Next time, you better watch in front of you before you walk, i***t," the elder woman scolds Marnie.
"Tita I said I am okay. Sorry dear," the woman asked apology to Marnie. She wasn't expecting that her elder will scold this little girl in front of them. She knew that it was just an accident.
"I've already forgiven her since she asked apology a while ago. No need to scold her Tita," the woman told her elder.
"Okay. Let's go," the elder woman invited the woman without having second look at Marnie and Nina who were both shocked.
The woman was Doctor Cristina Garcia while the elder one was Doctor Michael's mother, Doctora Co. They were shopping for some clothes and shoes. Doctora Co requested Docctota Garcia who accompanied her on her shopping.
"Michael will be coming over to fetch us later, he will be coming from the hospital as he had a patient right now," Mrs. Co said.
Marnie overheard what Mrs. Co had said. "Was it Doctor Michael," she asked herself.
"Well, there were so many Michael's on earth. He might be with the same name only," she thought so. Though when she recalled the face of an elder woman, she was somewhat like had a resemblance with Doctor Michael's feature.
"Hmmm, come on let's go-to the facial center. Don't mind them," Nina asked her when she saw that Marnie was at loss for a while because of the elder woman's scolding a while ago.
They both went inside the "Dutch Salon and Spa Center". They were both now lying on spa bed and having their diamond facial. It will last for about three hours and both enjoyed their relaxation for today.
They both fall asleep and Nina was almost snoring.
Mr. Castello on the other hand watch movie alone. He let the two enjoy each other.
After more than three hours, Marnie messaged her father.
"Dad, please join us. Let's have our lunch here at Gerry's Grill located on the second floor," she messaged her father.
After reading the message, Mr. Castello replied," Alright, I'll be coming over Princess."
Marnie and Nina ordered the menu already while waiting for Mr. Castello.
When the menu was being served, Mr. Castello came and joined with them.
He was so happy as Nina was the only best friend her daughter had. He was so happy as Nina wasn't a bad influence at all, She had been Marnie's best friend since they were still college students.
He used to treat Nina as his daughter as well. She used to spend nights in Batangas also every time there were special occasions in the family, Marnie used to bring her along.
They were like sisters. Marnie grew up with her two elder brothers, that's why she was so close with Nina. They can do girl's talk and other stuff which can't be given to her by her siblings.
They were quite a great match and partners in crime as what Mrs. Castello called them.
After they had lunch all together, Marnie decided to send Nina to their boarding house already. She's a bit tired already and they will still travel to Batangas too. She doesn't want her father to drive at night.
They've sent Nina to their boarding house and bid goodbye to each other already.
