“I’m sorry, Gwen...you aren’t a match…” The words hit upon her ears and fell onto her heart as if they had been weighed down with a ton of bricks. As she looked to her son, currently asleep in a small crib located at this specific section in the hospital, Gwen felt destroyed in being unable to save him. She knew for her son to have a chance, she would have to seek out Deacon once more-having to bite her lip and swallow her pride to save her child. Luckily, she knew where Deacon would be, due to him having been a workaholic, but it did not make the nerves she had upon going to speak to him any easier.
