Isabella woke up in the hotel room, the first rays of sunlight filtering through the heavy curtains. She blinked, the unfamiliar ceiling reminding her of where she was. Her thoughts were muddled, swirling with the events of the past few days. The luxurious sheets felt too soft, too comforting for the turmoil inside her. She knew the day ahead would be one of the hardest she’d ever faced. Her phone vibrated incessantly on the nightstand. She didn’t need to look to know who it was. Dominic.
